Cate Belleveau was born in Watertown , Wis. and loved tromping around the rural meadows and woods near the Rock River as a adventurous outdoorsy kid with her siblings .She enjoyed "her people" with their ability to be spiritually in the moment - kids ! She served in an educator from inner city Milwaukee to Kyrgyzstan , New Zealand , and several Native American reservations . Her most enjoyed gig was as director of Gifted Education on the Leech Lake Reservation . She also served as  project director for STEM outreach at the Leech Lake Tribal College and picked up her Master's Degree in Natural Resources / Env. Ed in 1998 from the Univ. of WI Steven's Point . She also is imbedded in the world of story telling via theater as the artistic director of the Mask and Rose Women's Theater Collective and has directed / produced over 65 plays . She wrote several plays with one about the Hemingway women going to a NYC summeriest . In 2004 she enjoyed a 17 day  "stroll " to Mt. Everest Base Camp & served in 2005 as a seasonal naturalist in Glacier Park driving the big red busses over the Going to the Sun Road . She has kayaked in Greece , chased gypsies down in Milano Italy to retrieve her stolen passport , hitchhiked from MN to Alaska and done scienitifc research in La Paz , Bolivia . She is married to sculptor soul mate Al and is mom to amazing three adult children .
